WHAT TO TELL YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE TAKING XYGREL

Be sure to tell your doctor if you:

  • Have had bleeding episode in the past
  • Have had any recent serious injury or surgery
  • Plan to have surgery or a dental procedure in near future
  • Have a history of stomach ulcers colon polyps
  • Have lung problems, such as COPD or asthma
  • Have liver problems
  • Have a history of stroke
  • Are pregnant, or plan to become pregnant. It is not known if XYGREL will harm your unborn baby. You and your doctor should decide if you will take XYGREL
  • Are breastfeeding or plan to breastfeed. You should not breastfeed while being treated with XYGREL
  • Have had an abnormally low rate of heartbeat

Also, tell your doctor about all the medicines you take:

  • Tell your doctor about all the medicines you take, including prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements like an HIV-AIDS medicine, Medicine for heart conditions like heart failure or high blood pressure, Medicine for lowering high blood cholesterol, An oral anti-fungal medicine, an anti-convulsant, medicine and A blood thinner medicine
  •   XYGREL may interact with other medicines or other medicines may interact with XYGREL and affect each other’s work.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION ABOUT XYGREL (ticagrelor) 90-MG TABLETS

  • Do not stop taking XYGREL without talking to the doctor who prescribes it for you
  • People who are treated with a stent, and stop taking XYGREL too soon, have a higher risk of getting a blood clot in the stent, having a heart attack, or dying
  • If you stop XYGREL because of bleeding, or for other reasons, your risk of a heart attack or stroke may increase
  • Tell all your doctors and dentists that you are taking XYGREL
  • To decrease your risk of bleeding, your doctor may instruct you to stop taking XYGREL 5 days before you have surgery
  • Your doctor should tell you when to start taking XYGREL again, as soon as possible after surgery
